Happy Mother’s Day
Another year is quickly approaching the midway point, so that means another special day to acknowledge mothers and the beauty of motherhood. In my 20 years, I have grown to see how much the role and importance is, and especially has been in my life. A few years ago, there was a time I might actually have chosen a girl over my mother, wrong but true. But now, as I sit here typing, that young lady is no longer apart of my life, but guess who’s still there. I have done some dumb/stupid/horrible/irresponsible (etc. etc. etc.) things in my life and my mom has always been on my side. Whether she was disciplining me or helping me with the mess I made, she was always there and I am forever indebted to her. I really don’t know what else to say, except I love Shelia Turner for birthing and taking care of four crazy boys. Before I end this I just want to say Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers and/or ladies that have played the role of a mother to someone. Though sometimes your sacrifices are overlooked, know that they are never in vain.
LOVE
One of the greatest choices you could ever make/
Used to make one of the greatest phrases you could ever say/
One of the biggest steps you could ever take/
Can lead you to some of the biggest moments you could ever face/
Love the thing that makes ya heart beat harder/
The selection of affection makes ya eyes see farther/
Connection is a blessin, the bond is so beautiful/
Love can hav ya trippin think of the places you could go/
Countless weeks atop mountain peaks/
Every ounce is sweet,at a loss of words when your about to speak/
L-O-V-E the only thing that destroys hate/
The feelin of a parent looking in their girl or their boy’s face/
I aint talkin candy,cards,teddy bears and valentines/
Theres somethin so much deeper that I hav in mind/
Some try to garner the high so they savor in drugs/
But without wings you dont fly, theres nothin greater than love/
